Cotton to debut in dryland of Australia's NSW

Until now, production of cotton in NSW State of Australia was restricted to the western region of NSW/Queensland border.

However, hot climatic conditions and heavy rainfall in the northeastern dryland region of NSW are now being considered as providing ideal conditions for the growth of cotton crop.

Trials have already been performed and farmers in this region now look forward to commercially grow the crop for the first time.

Experts say cotton has the potential to become one of the high yielding crops of the State.
