The cotton spot market in China seems to have attained a degree of stability as the prices have largely remained unchanged during the last few trading days.

In Shandong, Henan, Xinjiang and Jiangsu provinces, Xinjiang grade 2 cotton was quoted in the price range of 19,100-19,300 yuan/ton during July 5-9 period, while the price of grade 3 cotton was in the range of 18,800-19,000 yuan/ton.

Cotton traders and enterprises were in a relaxed mood and did not actively purchase Xinjiang cotton during the last few days.

However, some cotton mills offered to buy Xinjiang grade 3 cotton in the range of 18,000-18,500 yuan/ton.
