Cotton stock with China’s national cotton industry is projected to have declined to about 757,000 tons, based on a recent sample survey.

The study revealed that the average cotton inventory, including the cotton already arrived at ports, was about 33.6 days, as of July 9.

The cotton inventory showed a reduction of 2.4 days on a month-on-month basis, one day on a year-on-year basis, and was flat when compared with the average volume of cotton inventory during the last three years.

Based on the survey, China’s total cotton stock is estimated to be about 757,000 tons, which would be a decline of 6.7 percent month-on-month, 13.8 percent year-on-year, and 16.7 percent when compared to the average inventory levels during the past three years.
