Prices of extra-long staple varieties slid after climbing two weeks all time high level, and are expected to drop down to lower levels in the near future.
Price of DCH-32A has declined from Rs12936 per quintal to Rs12373.
Sources from the South India Cotton Association report that the demand has been low even after the decreased prices, as some spinners have shifted to lower grade cotton while the others have refused to buy at the prevailing prices.
