Cotton prices stay unchanged at Rs2525 per maund at Karachi Cotton Association (KCA).
Transactions took place on Janurary 20, 2006 at several cotton stations as follows:
Around 200 bales changed hands at Duniya Pur for Rs2550 per maund, 2000 bales at Muridwala for Rs2300 and 1600 bales at Upper Sindh for Rs2525/2570.
According to Cotlook Indices (January 26, 2006), A index stood at 60.10 and B index was 58.25.
New York Cotton Futures Market Closing Delivery for March and May 2006 is released on January 26, 2006.
Opening price for March 2006 will be $56.50, high and low levels will be $56.70 and $56.53 respectively, previous rate will be $56.53 and will close at $56.48. This records a drop of $0.05.
While in May 2006, opening price will be $57.85, high and low levels will be $57.85 and $57.40 respectively; previous rate will be $57.69 and will close at $57.74. This reveals an increase of $0.05.
