China carries on with state purchase of cotton

The Chinese Government is continuing with is cotton procurement for state reserves.
 
On December 5, the Government purchased 43,400 tons of cotton for state reserves, about 1,000 tons more than the quantity bought on previous trading day. While 15,800 tons of cotton was procured from Xinjiang area, the remaining 27,600 tons was bought from inland areas.
 
As of December 5, the Chinese Government has purchased 3,615,880 tons of cotton during the current cotton year under its temporary reserves plan. About 1.925 million tons of cotton was procured from Xinjiang area, while 1.166 million tons was bought from inland areas and another 524,510 tons was purchased from trading enterprises.
