Australian cotton fetches higher price at Chinese ports

Cotton from Australia is fetching the highest price among the various imported cotton at Chinese ports.
 
The spot price of Australian cotton was quoted at 102.85 cents/lb on February 20, which translates to 16,798 yuan/ton under sliding tax in terms of delivery at port.
 
In comparison, the price of US cotton was 99.10 cents/lb, which equals 16,313 yuan/ton under sliding tax in terms of delivery at port.
 
Cotton imported from West Africa was quoted at 93.85 cents/lb on February 20, the price was equivalent to 15,686 yuan/ton under sliding tax in terms of delivery at port.
 
Indian cotton was quoted at 90.35 cents/lb, which corresponds to 15,287 yuan/ton under sliding tax in terms of delivery at port.
