Companies including Nike, Nordstrom, Patagonia, Timberland and Whole Foods have begun to offer their customers products made with organic cotton. Other organizations such as the Red Cross and Mountain Equipment Coop are making it possible for their volunteers and employees to wear apparel made from organic cotton.
The Organic Exchange is a non-profit business organization focused on creating environmental and social benefits through the expansion of organic agriculture. It is starting with cotton, because it is one of the world's most important agricultural crops.
