China's cotton imports decline in March'13

In March 2013, China imported 528,800 tons of cotton, registering a decline of 95,500 tons or 15.3 percent year-on-year, according to Chinese customs statistics.
 
However, March cotton imports were 150,100 tons or 39.63 percent more than the quantity imported a month earlier.
 
From January to March 2013, China’s cotton imports add up to 1.365 million tons, down 202,200 tons or 12.9 percent year-on-year.
 
Since the beginning of the current crop season in September 2012 till March 2013, China’s cumulative cotton imports total 2.736 million tons, showing a decrease of 505,600 tons or about 15.6 percent year-on-year.
