To stimulate Kenya's dormant cotton industry, the World Bank and Government have joined hand with the former allotting 300 million shillings to fulfill this task.
District commissioner, Cassis Farah of Homa Bay, commented that delayed payment and poor prices proved nemisis for cotton farming industry in the country.
He was hopeful of improvement in the district's economy and urged people to utilize the fund in the optimum way to eradicate poverty.
