Serbian President launches BIM-Tex's new cotton yarn plant

The President of Serbia, Tomislav Nikolic, has launched a new plant worth € 1.4 million for the production of cotton yarn at the textile enterprise BIM-Tex, in the southern city of Leskovac.
 
The Serbian President visited the BIM-Tex production site along with local government officials accompanied by management executives of the company.
 
The BIM-Tex enterprise founded in 1992 is one of the leading companies in Serbia in the field of production of various types of cotton yarn and manufactures all types of knitted products.
 
The company employs around 100 workers and has an annual production capacity of 1,000 tons of cotton yarn.
 
In the past ten years, the company has invested more than € 12 million for new equipments, which enables it to produce yarn worth € 2.5 million annually, 60 percent of which is exported to the countries in the European Union.
