Over 300 cotton farmers from regions in and around Magoye have come together to form Magoye Cotton Growers Association (MCGA) that will work to understand and solve the problems concerning cotton growers in the country.
The Zambia National Farmers Union (ZNFU) in Mazabuka has praised this effort and informed the press about this union.
Clement Phiri, Business Manager, said that this will bring the farmers together and would put an end to unfair practices.
Venon Hagwamuna, Chairman, also informed that this association will help solve problems like low wages and under-payment which have bothered farmers for quiet some time now.
