Indonesia mulls over buying cotton from Mozambique, stated António Fernando, Minister for Industry and Trade, Mozambique.

During negotiations with Indonesian Minister, Mari Pangestu, Fernando said that Indonesia already used Mozambican cotton in its industry, but purchased it via European intermediaries and now planned to buy it directly from Mozambique.

As a reciprocal move, the Minister expected Indonesia to provide technical assistance to develop agricultural industries in general and to improve quality of cotton in particular.
