Textile manufacturers prefer natuaral and organic colours to chemical colours for the production of coloured cotton fabrics.
Sinkiang province has emerged as major production base for natural coloured cotton, with annual output of around 20,000 tons.
Province is now trying to develop 'Sinkiang natural coloured cotton standards' that include natural coloured cotton's kinds, breeds, growth, processing, produce and service after sale; the total is 36 pieces of standards.
This is expected to accelerate promotion in domestic markets while penetrating international markets.
