Cotton farmers complain price discrimination

Mumbwa's cotton farmers have protested the selling price of their cotton at K850,000 per kilogram against the agreed price of K1,200 with Dunavant.

Farmers in Mumbwa are not getting any profit at the current prices and Dunavant being the only buyer in the district has only added to the agony.

Gracious Hamatale, Operations Manager for Dunavant Cotton Ginnery declined to comment on the issue of price.
