Government has resolved not to change cotton import quota for the year 2007.

The Country Development and Innovation Association has declared that the cotton import quota would be 8.94 million tons in 2007 and out of that 33 percent would be allocated to the state-owned firms.

Accordingly, the cotton import firms that work in processing, exchange and common trade can apply for quota to import cotton.
