After months of sluggishness in the cotton market, things are finally starting to look up.
Spinners are stocking up their reserves resulting in a sudden surge of imports in August, 2006, at 28,508 bales, highest monthly figure since March last year.
Total imports for the January-August 2006 period touched 132,060 480-pound bales mark, while the exports came upto 11,787.5 bales.
