GM cotton may come back in reckoning

In spite of some states banning the use of genetically modified cotton, growers attending a national irrigation conference in Darwin want to plant it.
John Moulden, a researcher has said that trials show GM cotton consumes less compared to other crops like sugar cane or banana.
He further stated that there was no reason either scientific or environmental for not using GM cotton in northern Australia.
