Cotton in Carolina badly affected by thrips & nematodes

Carolina cotton yield is affected less than 20 percent due to nematodes and all cotton planted early is susceptible to thrips.

Though the two pests often occur together, they are traditionally managed by different chemicals and require additional time, labor and costs.

Entomologists and plant pathologists at North Carolina State University have come together to look for some common ground to fight these pests.

Although both of them occur simultaneously, most of the time different chemicals are used for them and are mostly labour and time consuming. There are researches conducted by experts for some common remedy for fighting these pests.
