Grant of $51.9 million has been approved for cotton industry in the four African countries – Chad, Mali, Benin and Burkina Faso by the African Development Fund (ADF). Distribution of the grant will be made by considering scientific collaboration amongst agricultural research institutes in these countries.
Cotton production will be upturned by 1.84 tons per year through the projects funded from this grant. ADF will support more than 10 million people in West and North African states by running these projects.
