Ministry expects cotton production to surpass target

Federal Minister for Food, Agriculture & Livestock is expecting current year's cotton production to surpass its target.
Last year, cotton production failed to achieve the target fixed due to natural calamities like floods.
He was talking to U Tin Oo, Ambassador of the Union of Myanmar. The ambassador told that Pakistan made remarkable progress in the field of cotton and they expect to import good yield of cotton.
He also stressed on getting their people trained in Pakistani institutions to keep them abreast of modern technology in this field.
The ministry assured ambassador about all possible help to officials of Myanmar so that they could get a better yield of cotton.
