Cotton output likely to reach 6.72 mn tons

At the National Agricultural Work Conference on December 25, a leader from the Ministry of Agriculture said that national agricultural industry has achieved a stable and balanced development this year.

In addition to a bumper grain harvest, economic crops have also represented a stable development.

Cotton output is expected to reach 6.729 million tons in 2006, per mu yield at 83 kg, both setting a new record in history (one hectare=15 mu).
