Yaaganti ties up with Vikram Seeds for Bt cotton

Gujarat-based Vikram Seeds will market Bt cotton of Yaaganti Seeds in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka from 2007, sources revealed.
Vikram Seeds, after tie-up with Yaaganti Seeds, hopes to reach a turnover of Rs1 billion in 2006-2007 compared to Rs100 million in previous fiscal.
Yaaganti Seeds
expects to market 90,000 in AP and 10,000 in Karnataka with the help of Vikram Seeds.
During 2007, industry estimates total sales of Bt of Rs9 billion at the rate of 750 per packet against a total requirement of 200 lakh packets.
