Govt keen to strengthen trade ties with Mali

Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives Thira Sutabutr revealed plans to provide agriculture and technical assistance to Mali, so as to boost economic and social relations.

Minister said that a delegation of researchers and agriculture experts will visit the Africa's seventh largest country to identify sectors that maybe improved by cooperation.

Mali, meanwhile, has welcomed this helping hand and expressed keen wish for technical development in rice and cotton production and irrigation facilities.

Thailand, a major cotton importer, is being eyed as a potential market for Mali's raw materials.
