Singapore-based company, OLAM, recently offered $4.75 per share to Queensland Cotton.
Shareholders of the Australia's largest and oldest company have been encouraged to welcome this proposal.
OLAM is amongst the top five global cotton companies.
Queensland Cotton Chairman John Reynolds explained to the media that two-tier offer could increase by a further 30 cents a share.
