Import price showed modest changes, but monthly average price was higher over the previous year. China import cotton price index (FC IndexM) on March 30 scored 60.96 cent per pound, down 0.9 cent from that on March 1.
The average price in March was 61.18 cent per pound. It would be converted into 12,115 yuan per ton against one percent tariff, down 938 yuan from the price of domestic growth level of 328. It would be translated into 13,256 yuan per ton against slide tariff, up 104 yuan from the domestic growth 328 grade.
