Karachi Cotton Association (KCA) statistics show that prices have continued to surge, climbing sharply day by day.
Cotton prices mounted at the beginning of August and stood at about Rs2950 per maund. The last week the rates had hiked to Rs3000.
On 8 August the rates stood at Rs3100 and today the prices have gone up to Rs3150.
With tight supply and growing demand, prices are most likely to continue soaring and fluctuate for several weeks to come.
