South India Small Spinners Association (SISSPA) met with the Hon'ble Union Minister, Shanker Sinh Vaghela, and submitted a Memorandum for Textiles.
The memorandum demanded duty free import of cotton to create a balance in the market to overcome the shortage caused and to bring down the cost of cotton to normal levels.
SISSPA has further requested to the Government to reduce the interest rates at the earliest.
Recommendations were also made to separate interest schedule for the manufacturing industries which should be lower than the commercial lending.
