Cotton prices are rising day buy day and textile industry is concerned by the high rates.
The prices have mostly been influenced by strong global demand and are raising the production cost of garment sector.
Karachi Cotton Association reported that while yesterday cotton was priced around Rs2,900 per maund, today the rates have surged to Rs2,950.
On October 26, I n d e x –A stood at 70.95 and I n d e x – B was at 68.40.
