On October 28, the first phase of the project with investment of US $50 million of Yixing Lucky G&L Denim Co Ltd. was completed and put into operation, thus marking Yixing region own a world-class jean and denim cloth production base, which would offer new and high-quality fabrics to many world top brands.
Yixing Lucky Denim is a Sino-US joint venture, jointly invested by Yixing Lucky Textile Group and US Swift Company, the world's largest leisure fabrics provider.
The company has introduced world-class equipment and advanced technology for textile printing and dyeing, to focus on high value-added products, and top-grade denim fabric series, which will lead the world fashion trend.
After the operation of the first phase, it will form a production capacity of 30 million meters per year. In 2008, the company will reinvest $20 million to increase the production capacity to 50 million meters per year.
By then, total sales of jean and denim cloth from Yixing Lucky will reach $300 million.
