Hebei in the north of China, has acquired 425,500 tons of lint till November 15 in 2007, accounting for 64.4 percent of the expected output of the country.
Cotton enterprises in the region completed cumulative acquisition of 11.50 billion kilogram of unginned cotton, processed 367 million kilogram of lint cotton, sold 263 million kilogram.
Based on 37 percent of lint conversion percentage, the province has acquired 425,500 tons lint, accounting for 64.4 percent of the total output.
Uptill now, Hebei has 55 cotton processing enterprises, which have completed equipment upgrading. The province also has inspected 122,334 bales of new cotton, or about 27,800 tons, close to the overall inspected quantity in the whole year of 2006.
