China's November cotton imports marked 102,000 tons, down 35,000 tons from the previous month. This is decline of almost 25.5 percent, 52,500 tons below the import volume of the same time last year, down 34 percent, lowest in 2007, according to the last statistic of the General Administration of Customs.
According to statistics, in the first 11 months of 2007, China's cotton imports accumulated to around 2.13 million tons, a reduction of more than 1.2 million tons from the same time last year, or down over 37 percent.
According to other statistics, in the first three months 2007/08, China's cotton imports totaled 473,400 tons, representing an increase of 99,500 tons or about 26.6 percent over the same period a year earlier.
