The monitoring report by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) shows that the new cotton picking is almost over. Although the cotton prices in domestic market maintained a steady growth throughout previous year, according to experts, the supply of cotton in this year, will have great stress.

Thus, enterprises are advised to use the advantage of the low cotton prices in the international market to renew the cotton stock as soon as possible. By this enterprises can avoid increasing cotton prices by the centralized import, rising of costs and reducing the textile goods competitive power.

The statistics also showed, in November, the factory prices of standard cotton stood at around 13.646 thousand RMB per ton, which has ascended by 175 RMB per ton.
