Unpredictable cotton futures strain growers

A public meeting is expected to be held in US this month to discuss the growing concerns of the agricultural industry.
Most of the traders and industry people are of the opinion that futures markets are not working as they were meant to.
A major upheaval in cotton prices have made it increasingly difficult for growers in Australia to work out a fixed price for the raw material.
Australian Cotton Shippers Association
also holds that as a result of such persisting pricing crisis, traders are suffering world-wide.
Most of the companies are not even offering a price for their cotton stock since they would prefer to wait till a worthy sum can be procured from the transaction.
