World Congress on Organic Cotton - 'From Fashion to Sustainability'

On the occasion of the the UN Year of Natural Fibres 2009, Helvetas, in collaboration with Organic Exchange, International Trade Centre (ITC), Institute for Market Ecology (IMO) and the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), organises an international conference on the subject of organic and fair trade cotton.
Among the main agenda points are a series of key note presentations, workshops, panel discussions, a permanent market place and a fashion show.
The conference provides a broad international forum for professionals and political decision makers to debate on most burning issues, latest innovations and challenges in organic and fair trade cotton markets.
The event aims to facilitate a transparent, solution-oriented dialogue and to create long-term partnerships between players along the whole textile value chain.
