The government has sent a directive to the Punjab Seed Corporation to fix the price of authentic Bt cotton seeds at Rs 100 per kg.
This was conveyed by the Director General in the Agriculture Department, Dr. Anjum Ali.
He also advised the farmers to avoid using unattested and bad quality Bt cotton seeds and only use government attested seeds to avoid pest attacks.
He also told the officials of the Agriculture department to provide timely advice to cotton farmers to ensure better productivity of cotton in the next season.
