Constant increase of cotton consumption in Peru compels cotton imports volume to remain stable. The September imports of Peru reached 12,672 bales; on the contrary, exports figures were 878 bales of Tangus cotton.

Imports of September from United States were 10,890 bales, 1344 bales from Bolivia and 438 bales from Brazil.

From January to September, total cotton import quantity was 178,238 bales; of this 39,043 bales were ELS descriptions, with the balance upland styles.

The United States, which exported total 6,079 bales from January to September, was the top supplier.
