An integrated cotton yarn industrial park has been planned at Rajapalayam at the cost of Rs 30 crore, Virudhunagar District Collector A Mohamed Aslam informed.
Speaking in a review meeting to discuss the establishment of the cotton yarn park, the collector added that the park was meant for the manufacturing of readymade garments for export.
The Union Government would bear Rs 25 crore and the beneficiaries would provide the balance. With minimum of 50 units in the park, it would provide employment to 300 persons.
