Cotton prices move south on lower demand

Export demand has weakened following the highest level of export prices for cotton in several seasons in Egypt.

According to ALCOTEXA, export sales of only 1,275 tons were recorded during the week ending November 19.

The sales included 125 tons of Giza 86, 650 tons of Giza 88, 50 tons of Giza 89,400 tons of Giza 80 and 50 tons of export types.

Total 2005/06 export sales have now stood at 39,025.5 tons.
