Affected by a significant domestic mill demand, local cotton prices in India increased sharply in November.

Northern Zone, where a reduced crop has been predicted also played a dominant role on the price front .

Prices of the J-34 types increased from Rs 60 to Rs 155 per maund over the past ten days; this differs from stable prices for the H-4 styles in Madhya Pradesh and S-6 varieties in Gujarat.

Andhra Pradesh registered an increase in prices (approximately Rs 200 per quintal over the last ten days), and ELS prices in Karnataka remained stable.
