Cotton output down. Imports up in 2010

National Bureau of Statistics said on Monday that China's cotton production fell 6.3 percent to 5.97 million tons last year.

China Cotton Website reported that China totally imported 1.277 million tons of cotton in 2010, an increase of 49.9 percent year on year.
