Cotton cultivation activities have been completed in Turkmenistan, on an area of 550,000 hectares, said the Ministry of Agriculture.
Turkmenistan grows cotton in five provinces -- Akhal, Mary, Lebap, Dashoguz and Balkan and harvest season begins from August and continues till October.
In the previous cotton year, the country harvested 1.3 million tons of cotton against a target of 1.05 million tons.
