Amazon has decided to reduce its seller fees in Europe by 2-5 per cent.

In 2026, it will lower fees by an average of £0.15/€0.17 per unit sold across Europe. The changes include Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) service fee reductions for parcels, expanded low-price FBA eligibility and referral fee reductions in high-volume categories like clothing, accessories and pet clothing.

“As we reduce fees where costs have decreased, we are also making targeted adjustments to optimise fulfilment network efficiency and ensure capacity is available for fast-moving and healthy selection,” Dharmesh Mehta, vice president of WW Selling Partner Services of Amazon, said in a blog.

The decision is being wide perceived as part of Amazon’s tactics to compete with ultrafast-fashion e-retailers like Shein and Temu.

Beginning December 15, 2025, Amazon will further reduce FBA fulfillment fees for parcels by an average of £0.26/€0.32 in its UK, German, French, Italian and Spanish stores. It will reduce referral fees for clothing and accessories from 8 per cent to 5 per cent for items at and up to £15/€15, and from 15 per cent to 10 per cent for items between £15/€15 and £20/€20.

Beginning February 1, 2026, it will reduce referral fees for home products (new category) from 15 per cent to 8 per cent for items priced at and up to £20/€20 and for pet clothing and food from 15 per cent to 5 per cent for items up to £10/€10.

“We will extend our reduced Low-price FBA rates in most categories to products priced at or below £20/€20, lowering FBA fees for these newly eligible products by an average of £0.40/€0.45 per unit,” Mehta wrote.

Amazon will lower caps on variable fees for best seals and lightning deals to £200 in the United Kingdom, €300 in Germany, and €100 in France, Italy and Spain.

Finally, it will make selective fee increases to optimise the efficiency of our network, including to monthly storage fees, return-to-seller and liquidation fees, and will update FBA fulfillment fees in its stores in the Netherlands, Sweden, Belgium, Ireland and Poland.
