UK-based online fashion retailer ASOS has announced that Adam Crozier has informed the board that he intends to step down as chairman of the company, having accepted the role of chairman of BT Group. Adam will remain on the board and continue as chairman until November 28, 2021, which marks the end of his three-year term of office.

The process to find a new chair has commenced, ASOS said in a statement on Tuesday.

Crozier is currently non-executive chairman of Whitbread, ASOS and Kantar Group. He is also non-executive director of Sony Corporation. Previously he held the chairmanships of Stage Entertainment BV and Vue International Cinema Group.

Crozier also has over 20 years of experience as a CEO across four different industries, most recently as the CEO of ITV plc from April 2010 to June 2017.
