China's e-commerce logistics sector experienced significant growth in April, with the logistics index climbing to 113.2 points, a 0.7-point increase from March, according to the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing.

The sub-index for total business volume rose by 1.3 points to 127.7 points month-on-month. Notably, the business volume in rural areas also saw an uptick, increasing by 0.2 points to 127.9 points.

Overall, China's logistics sector demonstrated robust growth in April, driven by a nationwide rebound in demand. The performance index for the logistics market reached 52.4 per cent, up 0.9 percentage points from the previous month.

The sub-indices for business expectations have remained in the expansion zone for three consecutive months, according to Chinese media reports.
