The Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers & Exporters Association (PRGMEA) recently requested the government to also launch a digital market policy after consulting various stakeholders so that business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) businesses can be nurtured in addition to spurring exports in a post-pandemic world.

The request was made by PRGMEA central chairman Sohail A Sheikh and chief coordinator Ijaz Khokhar while briefing association members in Islamabad about the e-commerce clearance facility developed by the Federal Board of Revenue’s customs department, according to Pakistani media reports.

Sheikh said the new clearance facility, created in collaboration with the State Bank of Pakistan, will prove to be effective for small and medium enterprises, helping them promote their business.
