Inflation in the Netherlands slowed to 2.9 per cent in November 2025, down from 3.1 per cent in October, according to the flash estimate released by Statistics Netherlands (CBS).
Consumer prices as measured by the consumer price index (CPI), fell by 0.8 per cent in November compared with October. CBS cautioned that such month-to-month comparisons are influenced by seasonal patterns.
Clothing, for instance, typically becomes cheaper during sales periods, with discounts reflecting temporary rather than structural price changes, CBS said in a release.
The European harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP) inflation rate eased to 2.6 per cent in November from 3 per cent in October, mirroring the downward trend in the national CPI.
