Turkiye’s economic confidence index remained unchanged at 99.5 in December 2025, signalling a continued cautious outlook, with the indicator staying below the neutral 100 mark, according to latest data by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat).

Consumer sentiment weakened during the month, with the consumer confidence index falling by 1.8 per cent to 83.5, down from 85 in November. In contrast, confidence in the real sector improved modestly, as the manufacturing industry confidence index rose by 0.5 per cent to 103.7, maintaining its position in optimistic territory, TurkStat said in a press release.

Retail trade recorded the strongest monthly improvement, rising by 1.1 per cent to 115.4, reflecting relatively firm demand conditions.
