The Sri Lanka Institute of Textile and Apparel (SLITA) is planning to expand its services in South Asia and establish links and collaborations with prestigious textile and apparel institutions in the region, according to minister of industry and commerce Rishad Bathiudeen. He was addressing the apparel industry graduation ceremony organised by SLITA recently.

Five hundred fresh graduates of government-run SLITA received their certificates and awards from Bathiudeen at the ceremony, according to Sri Lankan media reports.
