Mumbai, the financial capital of India and which was host to more than 100 textile mills a few decades ago, is all set to bring back memories of these days to the local populace who have witnessed the sad demise of these textile mills, by setting up a textile museum.

The land owned by United Mills No- 2 and 3, will be turned in to a museum which will be ready within a period of two years. According to Additional Municipal Commissioner of Mumbai, Mr Rajeev, the mill culture of those days will brought alive in this museum.

The plan to set up the museum was conceived two years back, but the vacant land premises of both the now defunct United Mills came in to the possession of the Mumbai Civic Body in January this year.
